Each year, thousands of people from around the globe gather at convention hotels for meetings and events of all sorts. 1. 2. The Diplomat Beach Resort, part of Hilton’s exclusive Curio collection is an all-encompassing destination resort in Hollywood, FL. This month the resort is launching its “Puppies & Ice Cream Break.” The playful group activity is an unexpected, out-of-the-ordinary meeting break that reduces stress while giving back to the community. The resort will be partnering with the Broward County Humane Society to bring cats and dogs to the property for their employees to have a similar “break” experience and hopefully help these animals find a forever home. Recently nominated as Cvent’s 10 meeting hotel in the U.S., the resort is also planning to launch its “Clothes for a Cause” initiative where they will ask groups to bring in donations of gently worn clothing (both professional and/or casual) to donate to a local homeless or women’s shelter.
