Whether they’re interested in dining, shopping or the theater, attendees love New York City for its wide variety of experiences outside of the traditional meeting room. Here are some anything-but-ordinary venues for your next New York City meeting, including a haven for bowling and one of America’s most iconic comedy clubs.

Brooklyn Bowl: 61 Wythe Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn
This 20,000-square-foot bowling alley and music hall makes for the perfect introduction to hip Williamsburg. With 16 lanes, Brooklyn Bowl can accommodate both small and large groups for some friendly competition. Casual fare—think pulled-pork sliders and fried chicken—from NYC institution Blue Ribbon rounds out the experience.

Carolines on Broadway: 1626 Broadway, Times Square/Theatre District, Manhattan
Venerable funnymen Jerry Seinfeld and Jon Stewart were both relative unknowns when they first performed at Carolines on Broadway, one of Manhattan’s best-loved comedy clubs and one of the settings for the annual New York Comedy Festival. Carolines has two spaces available for events: the famous Showroom, where the stage is equipped with three flat-screen monitors so that there isn’t a bad seat in the house; and the more intimate Supper Lounge, which has a 22-foot bar and can be rigged with A/V equipment provided by the club.

Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex : 23rd St. & Hudson River Park, Chelsea, Manhattan
This vast complex along the Hudson River is home to both a driving range and two indoor ice rinks as well as two indoor turf fields, four batting cages and a 24,000-square-foot gymnastics center. Chelsea Piers has four spaces available for events, including the PLAYERS Room, where attendees can perfect their golf swings with simulators, and the Sunset Terrace, which has beautiful waterfront views.

Duggal Greenhouse: 63 Flushing Ave., bldg. 268, Navy Yard, Brooklyn
This historic shipbuilding warehouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard has been transformed into a nearly 35,000-square-foot event space. The Duggal Greenhouse, which has hosted events as varied as fashion shows and corporate galas, has 70-foot ceilings and can accommodate up to 3,000 attendees. Planners can arrange yacht service from Manhattan.

Lucky Strike NYC: 624-660 W. 42nd St., Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan
This vast Manhattan lounge, complete with plush booths and mood lighting, is a great space for both large and small groups to unwind. In addition to 26 lanes of bowling, Lucky Strike has 11 billiard tables. Several private rooms are available for groups, and the entire lounge is available for buyouts.

Microsoft Store–Fifth Avenue: 677 Fifth Ave., Midtown East, Manhattan
Microsoft’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue features the high-tech third-floor Dell Experience space, which is available for private events. Before and after their off-site session, attendees can try out Microsoft’s latest computers, gaming consoles, phones and tablets with knowledgeable sales associates standing by to answer questions.
